I don't think that's been the case since the 80's.  --[[User:Memoriesonfilm|Max W.]] 02:18, 21 August 2010 (PDT)

well, this is not the whole shebang, you forgot about John's Hopkins

JHU forgot itself. Baltimore site doesn't even have its own page.

Lancaster Lower Canon

At least when I was at CTY back in the day, Sweet Transvestite was required on Second Saturday but it was not considered Canon; nor was it on the Canon CD. Should this be somehow placed in a category of its own? --Sammka 18:38, 21 August 2006 (MST)

I think that, technically, Sweet Transvestite is added to the Lower Canon only on Second Saturday, and then immediately taken off. I assume this is because there is no other way to explain the phenomenon that it is always played on Second Saturday; hence, it is sometimes Lower Canon.

Also, making a whole new category would be kinda confusing. I'd say jes leave it as it is, with the short disclaimer. --JW

theres a canon CD? -- concerned squirrel

The "Mayser" callback was not performed at 08-1 during Sweet Transvestite.

I think in 03 or 04 some RA or someone made a CD and sold em ~Yulia

It was '04, I believe. I'm not sure if they were given out or sold (I think sold). It didn't have Tunak (which was added '05). --Max W. 16:10, 3 September 2006 (MST)

Anybody think that anything should be added to the cannon? I go for Spaceman to the LAN lower cannon, maybe even the high cannon. GUYS, SPACEMAN. -Gavin.

Nah, at this point in time the canon near-perfectly fits on one 80-minute CD. Unless we just added a 34-second version of spaceman... --JW

Mayhaps a bit too suggestive for even the CTY canon... Also, CANNON-BANNED!!! (like LoZ) :P

Yes, but still. Maybe we should have a second canon CD of only mixes of Spaceman and other gayness. Oh baby. At every dance, a selected Spaceman would perform a more PG version of Spaceman. Sound good? I think so. Also, the lyrics of Spaceman aren't too suggestive. They're featured on an E-rated dancing game. UNF. -Gavin

Isn't Dr. Mario Second Session Lower Canon as well? Orodalf Elda 06:18, 10 August 2008 (PDT)

No, it is not. FJØRKËN 14:51, 24 August 2008 (PDT)

Loyola Marymount: Canon

  • Hey, I just edited the Canon, because this one is definitely out-of-date. LMU doesn't really have a canon anymore, but the songs people hold most important seem to go in this order. I'm thinking that we should encourage the DJ in 08 to ressurect Canon. I don't know about everyone in every session, so if anyone thinks a song should be moved, we can discuss why, and move it. --Pink Lizzy 18:40, 30 April 2008 (PDT)

So what is the status of the eight songs that were just taken off this page? -FJØRKËN 14:52, 24 August 2008 (PDT)

  • Is Stacy's Mom Canon? It, iirc, has been played during the 6 dances I was at CTY LMU. Just saying.

Original Canon CD artwork

After looking at this page I dug up my original ('96) Canon CD. It is from our original batch, and actual had custom inserts made by someone (I can't recall who, one of the LLRTers) as a thankyou. Why I ended up with them instead of Tarpy I could not say. If people would like I could scan the artwork, it is probably the oldest Canon CD still in existence. - Louis 13:44, 20 July 2008.

Saratoga Canon

Hey guys, please dont edit the canon if you dont know what you're doing. I dont mean that to sound rude, because i love you and CTY you, just dont screw with the canon list.

What?

"The only exception involves a new tradition at Skidmore Session One in which "I'll Make a Man out of You" is played after American Pie at the last dance." I thought Carlisle or somewhere had stairway after American Pie.
