CTY has changed me in more ways than I've ever thought possible. I wrote this page about... a year ago previously? And wow, I'm so different now. I'm not totally sure who I am yet, but I'm trying to figure that out.

Where you might have seen me: Well, for one, I am loud and pretty obnoxious. I'm Jewish and yes, you can tell straight away when you meet me. At Stanford I sang that "big black horse and a cherry tree" song during the talent show. From 08-10, I was in Seasons of Love. In 08 I was the first act of the talent show singing "Die Alone"; in 09 I was in a band with Blum, Fuzz, and John Wise singing Forevermore; and in 2010 I sang "You Were" by Julia Nunes, gave a little speech about nomores, and also sang "Falling Slowly" with my best friend Christian Miller.

This is being written on August 3rd, 2010, and honestly it hasn't hit me yet that I won't go back. My life can be summarized in Julia Nunes song lyrics:

''I'm just stupid enough to leave you behind, though you're like nothing I have found or will find.''

'''I'm not so scared.'''

Edit on March 12, 2011: as spring as coming through and as life is stressing me out and I can't deal with anything, the memories from CTY are what keep me going a lot of the time. I can pinpoint the exact spots where it's changed me. Even though it's only been a few months, I'm a lot more mature than I was when I ended CTY. I miss it so much, but I wouldn't change any part of my experience.

Edit on December 19, 2011: Wow, I promise I usually don't take myself this seriously.

I like the pacific northwest, vintage clothing, and music. Also I'll keep this updated because in the next six months I'll (hopefully) have an album out on iTunes.

I like science and music and lots of other things. CTY isn't a very big part of my life anymore, but the people from it are. I'm friendly! If you'd like to, find me on facebook (hint: Russian-Jewish last name and curly hair).
