+ | Speaking as a Californian, rain is something very precious to me. It refreshes, heals, brings life to the things it touches, and especially, it helps things grow into their fullest form. CTY is that rain. Here, we experienced something incredible that in some way or another has deeply touched each of our lives. We learned incredible things from our classes and from each other. We were swept into a completely new world without the looming influence of our parents and the friends we grew up with, and we were forced to discover ourselves. For me, CTY's 57 days of rain gave me the potential to grow into anything I can imagine. I thank each and every one of you for being my rain. But, all good things must come to a close. Nevermores, here is my final word to you: CTY has given you all the rain you need to begin your journey. And now, to quote one of my favorite novels, A Separate Peace: Anyone could see it was time to come out of the rain. Step into the real world. Embrace the person that CTY has shaped you to be. You are beautiful, intelligent, kind, and seriously, ceriously talented. Don't be afraid to make your mark on the world. You're gonna do great. |

I meant to finish writing my passionfruit speech the night before, but obviously I didn't. Here's the end of it, the part that I actually wrote down.
