The cards are dealt out randomly, and everyone looks at their own card, but not at anyones else. Then everyone goes to sleep. The moderator says Mafia wake up, and the Mafia gets to kill somebody. He goes back to sleep, and the Detective wakes up. He is allowed to get information about one person that round. The information is usually communicated with some sort of hand signal so nobody but the detective knows anything. The detective then goes back to sleep. Finally the Nurse/Doctor wakes up and gets to save somebody. If that person saves the person the mafia attempted to kill, that person does not die. A lot of the time however, the nurse/doctor is a selfish...person... and saves themselves so it can be rare to get saved. The nurse/doctor goes back to sleep, and then everyone wakes up. That night's events are told by the moderator who usually dramatizes them. An example is that if someone dies... he was on his way home from a bar when suddenly a guy jumped out from behind something and gunned him down... idk... that was just off the top of my head but you get the point. The person who was killed is then out. If nobody is killed nothing happens. After 2 rounds of this, people start voting on who the mafia is. The person accused has 10 seconds to defend themselves. If the people don't buy it, he is out. If they do, then they pick another person. Eventually someone is accused, and that person is then out of the game. If they were the mafia, then the game is over. If not the game continues until the mafia is found, or the mafia kills everyone.

There is no detective. There are also no cards; the presiding RA chooses the Mafia and the doctor. After each killing, everyone goes around and says "I am not (in the) the Mafia". You don't have to say this, and you can elaborate, but most people just use some variant of this statement. After everyone says their thing, the towns people vote. This is usually done by raising hands as the RA indicates each person. Other times you go around the circle again and everyone points to who they want to kill. You hold up your fingers to represent the number of people who voted for you. The person with the most votes is killed and sent out of the game. (These people usually wander around taunting and confusing the players.) Usually the RA will tell the group whether the person killed was in the mafia, but some are mean. Everything else is the same as at Carlisle.

Each round, following the deaths in the night, the townspeople (everyone) gets to decide on who to lynch mob to death, because they are suspected of being in the Mafia (the Doctor's protection is no longer in effect here). The detective, who may know who is in the Mafia, must not reveal his identity to the Mafia, yet must also try not to by lynched. The Doctor must also try to stay alive, and the Mafia, who are on their own side, must try to get the townspeople to kill themselves.

Mafia is a game in which there is the Mafia (Aces; usually three or so), Detective (King), and Nurse/Doctor/Angel (Queen). Other random cards are the towns people.

The cards are dealt out randomly, and everyone looks at their own card, but not at anyones else. Then everyone goes to sleep.

The moderator (or God) wakes up the Mafia member(s), and the Mafia gets to kill somebody. They goes back to sleep

Next, the Detective wakes up. He is allowed to get information about one person that round (i.e., whether or not a player is in the Mafia). The information is usually communicated with some sort of hand signal so nobody but the detective knows anything. The detective then goes back to sleep.

Finally the Nurse/Doctor wakes up and gets to save somebody. If that person saves the person the mafia attempted to kill, that person does not die. A lot of the time however, the nurse/doctor is a selfish... person... and saves themselves so it can be rare to get saved. The nurse/doctor goes back to sleep

Ten everyone wakes up. That night's events are described by the moderator who usually dramatizes them. The person who was killed is then out. If the person was protected by the Doctor, nothing happens.

This repeats until either all the townspeople or Mafia are dead.
