The Dark Side of Oz refers to the practice of syncing Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album to The Wizard of Oz. When synced correctly, some things in the songs line up well with the movie. Examples include:

  • The song "Money" starts exactly when Dorothy opens the door to Oz.
  • Brain Damage plays when Dorothy meets the scarecrow.
  • When Dorothy follows something across the sky, a plane crash is heard.

This phenomenon is also known as "Dark Side of the Rainbow", in reference to the song "Over the Rainbow."
