Well, this is the first time I have visited my userpage, and the first thing that I saw was the exclamation above.  I would like to thank [[User: Emmatheduck]] for giving me such a warm welcome.  And because she's my beloved roommate, and I CTY her, I'll leave that comment up.

My name is Lizzy, as is indicated by my username. I grew up in Colorado, but looked to the west and found myself at LMU. I think that the things I would be best known for include wearing nothing but pink to every 2009 dance, glowstringing, cubing, and generally acting ridiculous with a group of PCTYDers in matching shirts.  We were proud, we were obnoxious, and we were gloriously young.

I want to become a lawyer, but Emma thinks I should be a psychologist.  This is because I gave her therapy, and now she is more sane than she was before.  I have tried to tell her that I haven't really made much progress, (as the comment at the top of this page illustrates) but she is convinced that I am a miracle worker.  I consider this delusion a symptom of insanity.  She also has a habit of masquerading as other people.  This is why the comment clearly made by her appears as made by me.

I live in Colorado, which is both a blessing and a curse.  I cannot come to any reunions for kids who went to LMU, but I get to see snow every year.  There is another psuedo-CTY-like program here at Denver University called "Rocky Mountain Talent Search."  It has now taken to calling itself CITY, Center for Innovative and Talented Youth.  This is a cheap attempt to copy CTY, because CTY is much better, and therefore, much more successful, than RMTS.  I attended a psychology class at RMTS in summer of '06, and found it rather boring, and not nearly as fun as CTY.

At CTY, I considered myself a traditionalist. I advocated for the preservation of most canon songs, and tried to add some traditions from other sites. My friends and I also tried to start a few traditions, such as glorifying Dane Holding and singing Bananaphone loudly in groups in an effort to disturb the peace. We played Blammo, Wanna Buy a Duck, and many games of Silent Football.

LMU people! Are you frusterated with the logy of traditions? Do you want to hear more of ''Forever Young'', and less of ''Lip Gloss''? Then, please leave a comment in the discussion section of my Userpage! We need a group of people to spread tradition to every hall, to every dorm from Desmond to Doheney. We must not forget our Squirrels, we must not let them miss out on the things that make CTY different from other nerd camps.  Let us bring about a brighter era of tradition!

I plan on having further discussion on [http://www.postctydepression.com/phpBB2/ PCTYD], once it comes back up again.

I am a forevermore, and between 2007 and 2009, CTY was my life. I made some of my closest friends, people I intend to keep contact with for the rest of my life. CTY made a huge mark on me, and I like to think I made a small contribution to its history.

I attended:

  • LOS 07.1 LOGC (Dana's Hall, Desmond)
  • LOS 08.1 MIND (Nathalie's Hall, Huesman)
  • LOS 09.1 LAWP (Jacqui's Hall, Desmond)
  • LOS 09.2 ETHC (Gia's Hall, Desmond)

I was the top poster on PCTYD from 2008 or so until the present, and was an admin. While I was there, I opened a CafePress store selling PCTYD branded items, and started and edited Forevermore, the PCTYD Web Magazine.

When I first visited this page, my CTY roommate Emma posted the following. I leave it up for posterity:

I AM EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
