This generally fell flat and was mocked by the other host, Jeff Herr.

In addition to the previously mentioned filmies on his hall, his class contained Jackie Wang, Khaki Frost, Xuewei Ouyang, Isabella Rosner, Marie Sterba, Caroline Ellison, and Marissa Lilly. He and Marissa fell in love and twirled each other at dances. Due to living 2500 miles away from each other and thus not being able to continue a relationship, they parted amicably in September 2009 and remain very close.

CTY has been the best thing that ever happened to me. I made wonderful friends, I had wonderful times, and I took wonderful classes (but who comes for the classes after the first year?) I learned that I wanted to write, I learned how to be proud of being a nerd, I learned how to be funny, how to have fun, and a million other things it would be impossible to list here. CTY changed my life in a thousand wonderful ways. Our community is like no other and I love returning every year. I love CTY and I love the Passionfruit.
