The Totalitarian Theocracy of Daneistan
In 08.1, a new and amazing RA named Dane Holding arrived at CTY. Little did he know that soon he would become the mythical and heroic totalitarian leader of one of the most epic halls of all time. At first, this budding theocracy was just a hall of Cryptologists, including Dex M-H, Auston S., and Dillon D. However, at Olympics Day, the historic creation of The Totalitarian Theocracy of Daneistan began when the hallmembers were less than overjoyed at being assigned the role of "Egypt." Daneistan was, at the time, one of the most influential halls, in terms of tradition. A national anthem and flags were created. A few rather spectacular events occurred, the nature of which require them to remain hidden from the RealCTY populace.
Daneistan National Anthem (To the Tune of Bananaphone)
Dane dane dane dane dane dane dane Daneistan!
Dane dane dane dane dane dane dane Daneistan!
He doesn't call hall meetings,
He's too busy sleeping..."
Amber's Hall LOS.10.1
In 10.1, some of the most spirited girls were those residing in Huesman, despite there only being two halls. One of these halls consisted of Physics, Popular Culture, and Computer Science, and was lead by returning RA Amber. Because two of the three classes on the hall required prerequisites, all but one of the female nevermores at the site were on the hall, which lead to a higher level of passion about CTY. Though not necessarily all 'traditionalists', the girls on the hall pretty much all loved CTY, and participated in many epic moments. Particularly famous ones among the hall included:
No Pants Parties- It was not unusual to see girls walking around the hall right before sleepovers literally wearing no pants, getting many stares from the administration that shared the Huesman building. Usually, these no pants parties were for fun, though sometimes the girls were in a hurry to microwave their soup before lights out.
The CTY Olympics Due to Amber's uncanny resemblance to Sarah Palin, her hall somehow got stuck with Russia. Instead of being boring and politically correct, they decided to take some liberties and instead called themselves Soviet Russia. Not only were they equipped with "In Soviet Russia" jokes, they wrote an incredibly witty and clever national anthem praising Communism to the tune of "Billionaire". Though the physics boys gave them crap about it later on, the girls who performed the song in front of the site definitely saw their classmates laughing the hardest out of everybody.
Urinal Parties- Since Huesman is a boy's dorm during the year there were only two stalls for almost 30 girls on two halls. It became a running joke that they needed to learn how to use the urinals. Sure enough, on the last night several girls did get up and "learn" (read: stood at the urinal for ten minutes) how to use a urinal.
Shower Parties- Discussed many times, it was actually put into practice when four girls (in bathing suits) occupied the handicapped stall for a hilarious group shower and shaving party.
Drag Day Besides using them to dry clothes, the girls also posed with the urinals for pictures on Drag Day, invoking many comments of "How did you get into a boys' bathroom?" Amber's hall consisted of the best outfits that day, yet the pickup lines they used on the "ladies" fell completely flat. Don't ask me why, we were definitely the most attractive. And the lines were incredible.
The Dart Game- The Dart Game, introduced by Sarah and Tomi, made not only members of their hall but members of the Physics and Pop Culture class and the other hall in Huesman get down on the floor at random times of the day to act like a bug, wait until somebody pulled out their dart, or do ten pelvic thrusts. Needless to say it got many laughs and stares when someone had to sit down in the middle of Regent's Terrace or the cafeteria and couldn't get up until somebody pulled out their dart. (Within the hall it wasn't uncommon to leave someone sitting in the hall for ten minutes. This was often the case with poor Amber.)
Harassing Amber at the dances- This one spread to the rest of the RAs too. During the second dance, Amber the lovely RA was surrounded by her entire hall during Stacy's Mom (a song she passionately hated, probably due to it being played on repeat for hours that week) and was not allowed to get out. This ended up including the rest of the physics class and several RAs. Something similar happened during the third dance too. Now, the naming of Amber's future daughter as Stacy is being passionately advocated.
Casino Night Prizes- After winning Five Minutes of Silence with Wild Wild Westin as a casino night prize (despite getting pretty high up), they were one of the only halls that would be upset to learn that their true prize was popsicles, and forcefully received their five minutes of silence by surrounding Westin at breakfast the next morning, much to the confusion of his hall. It was awkward.
The girls tortured their confused mother, Amber, and their stepdaddy Stephen, the RA for the Physics boys, even though he decided he didn't want the physics girls. To the rest of the campus, they were the crazy girls that cheered for their hall with beautiful posters during the talent show, actually dressed in theme for dances, went crazy during dinner, played the penis game during social time, and generally were always the ones having the most fun on campus. What really made them memorable was the fact that they had so many nevermores and still had plenty of squirrels. The nevermores gave the squirrels an unforgettable CTY experience, teaching them what it's like to truly have CTY be such a big part of your life.
