High Street Residence Hall
High Street is one of the newer girl's dorm buildings at Dickinson. The building has 4 floors but only one elevator so most of the time residents use the stairs. As you can imagine this is inconvenient for those that have to walk up 4 flights of stairs.
Dorm Layout
Each resident is provided with a desk, bed, dresser (with drawers), plus even more drawers under the bed. The bathrooms are quite nice. Residents don't have to walk down the hall in a robe or towel because all the bathrooms are private and have their own showers. Each hallway has about one bathroom for two dorms, however if occupied, it's pretty easy to just walk down the hall and find another. The Double-Occupancy rooms tend to be quite spacious with relatively lots of open space, however the Singles are not.
Main Floor
Lounge
The Main Floor has the largest lounge of all floors, which includes multiple seating areas, chairs, tables, couches, and even a kitchen. Depending on the SRA and RAs, you may need an RA with you when using the kitchen, however sometimes you just need to tell them where you are going.
Laundry
The building has 6 washer and 6 dryers which are shared between all 4 floors. Nearly all residents choose to use their free time before lunch on weekends to do their laundry so it can get pretty chaotic. At the busiest times, if you show up even one minute after the clothes were done, someone will have taken your clothes out and put them on top of the machine.
Trash Room
Right across from the Laundry Room is the Trash Room, which has various garbage and recycling bins. When the Upper-Floor garbage bins get too full, the RAs will tell you to put your empty packages, trash, and other items here. The floor inside can get mildly gross, and it is recommended to not wear slippers.
