While the Vertical Rule is seemingly "unbreakable," it kind of... isn't. Heh.
What RAs really mean is that they don't want students ON TOP OF each other or uncomfortably close (that is, close enough that could make younger students uncomfortable). They don't have a problem with two love-birds laying next to each other on a grassy knoll. They also don't mind it when a girl sits on a guy's lap. Or the other way around. Sitting on each others' laps, however, was banned in 06.2. Lying on each others' stomachs in a grass orgy was banned in 08.1.
