SNAKES!!! is an activity run by RAs Matt Weber and Jeff Murphy at Easton, PA. It consistes of three essential parts first the demands, second the reading of snake facts, and third the snakes games. The day that SNAKES!!! occurs on is called Snakes Day and is followed by FLAAR the second activity period.
Snakes are also on a Plane. This fact has absolutely nothing to do with SNAKES!!!
Demands
Every time snakes was run it would start with Matt saying What do we want!!! When do we want 'em!!!
The answer to both of these questions is "SNAKES!!!" which is shouted by everyone at the activity. This is repeated 2-5 times.
SNAKES began as a joke between Staff members Jeff Murphy, Matt Weber and former SRA jeb Butler. During a morning meeting said that he hated snakes. Matt and Jeff immediately decided that there would be an activity that would be called SNAKES!!! the next day it was run for the first time. there were only twelve people who attended. It had been hoped that Jeb would be among the attending. Sadly, he was not.
SNAKES has been passed onto the next generation as Jae Vick ran SNAKES!! during her first year as an RA.
WHAT DO WE WANT??? (You know....)
Snake Facts
This are a series of strange and ridicuolous "facts" about snakes. If a fact was approved (most were) the group would scream SNAKES. If a fact was rejected another word would be screamed this changed from year to year.
If someone out there has these facts could you post them.
An example:
SNAKE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!
-SNAKES!!!!
SNAKES ON A PLANE!
-SNAKES!!!!
A SNAKE ONCE CLIMBED MOUNT EVEREST. HOWEVER, THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS NEVER RECOGNIZED BECAUSE SNAKES CANNOT PLANT FLAGS. -SNAKES!!!!
Snakes Games
A series of games played with plastic snakes tied together.
