'''My CTY Experience'''

2009 - My CTY experience was overall a positive one. But as you all probably know, Carlisle was shut down because of an unfortunate outbreak of Swine Flu. Because of this, I missed many essential parts of the CTY experience. We missed 3 of the dances, Starcrash, and I missed Passionfruit. Other than that though, CTY is one really awesome summer camp. I was a HUGE fan of Dodgeball and did every activity that was related to it. I was pretty good at it too. Like most CTYers, we would constantly play Frisbee, during breaks, before class, and on weekend freetime. Meet Markets were especially fun because of the light-up Frisbee one guy had. After meals, we'd couch and play ERS til we were let out (probably why swine flu spread so quickly). Aside from the usual games and nonsense, we did some wacky stuff and I found the traditions to be pretty cool.

2009 - Carlisle shut down half way through due to Swine Flu. I left just 3 hours after the announcement so I had little time to say goodbye to my friends. I met a lot awesome people and I will never forget the great times we shared on KW field, in the HUB, or even in class. There was such a strong feeling of community there. I only wish it didn't have to end so fast. :/

2010 - So, my mom forced me to go to Lancaster this year. It really wasn't that much of a different experience, except the campus was highly inferior to Carlisle's. Although I was not in their class, I basically spent all my free time with people that were taking BIO classes because they were just that awesome. I'm so happy I attended Passionfruit. I really needed some closure; especially after what happened last year. And like they all said, "It's not the place, it's the people" and there were some amazing people.
