CTYI/CTYA
The terms CTYI and CTYA were coined by Rom Bokobza and Jenny Vandenbelt at CAA UCSC '05. They stand for CTY Inappropriate and CTY Appropriate. The terms are used when something is either inappropriate or appropriate for CTY. The terms are spreading to many sites of CTY/CAA and will be used for many years to come. A typical conversation could be:
Student: "Oh wow, it smells like sh*t!" RA: "Hey! That's CTYI!"
or
Student is grinding or dancing inappropriately at the dance. RA: "Hey! That's CTYI!"
These terms were also used extensively at JHU 2007.
