The Critical Essay: Shakespeare is typically a smaller class but extremely interesting: it explores 2 of William Shakespeare's comedies or romances (no histories or tradgedies). We pick apart the plays through discussion, a series of essays, and group projects (which can be fun-- if you get the right partner. I, unfortunately, did not...-_-). We even take a class trip to the Folger Library in Washington, D.C., where we witness ancient documents and books of the time. Overall, a fascinating course, and my favorite of all that I have taken. (Session 2, JHU, 2003)

(I also went to Baby CTY--Heroes and Villains, Chestertown, Session 1, 2002; and, more recently, Latin 1, Lancaster, Session 2, 2004).
