Announcements
Session 1 is coming to a close, and a mass influx is expected. All active admins will be away at Session 2. The RealCTY community is asked to watch out for vandalism and to utilize RealCTY in a considerate manner. Also, please keep edits to a minimum; try to fit all changes to a page into a single edit. Also, watch for grammar, spelling, editing procedure, etc. Please note that poor editing procedure may result in bannage immediately upon the end of Session 2; appeals will be heard eventually. The admins will be back to work at the end of Session 2, and new admins will be accepted. Application statements may be made to my discussion page. Thanks for keeping RealCTY alive! James Brown is indeed dead. :( The CTY world shall mourn his death.
But so is Jerry Falwell, so most have reason to rejoice.
Please obey all general editing procedures.
Everyone, look at RealCTY:Alumni Association for more details on said proposed alumni association (which was never actually said).
CAA
It appears that many CAA folk have been posting assorted tiny bits of info about their sites and/or pictures into the middle and/or top of assorted pages. Although I intend no discrimination or offense, this is technically RealCTY (with an emphasis on the last three letters). I bring this up only because there is a prevalent of ordering sites based on size. Lancaster -> Carlisle -> Siena/Saratoga -> LMU -> JHU -> Hawai'i -> Easton -> Bristol.
Also, yes, of course I favor my home site, but this ordering makes sense no matter what the case, so please do not insert material into random parts of a page.
Summer 2007
The new catalog for Summer 2007 has been posted on the web.

Post-CTY Depression
Hey all! The new forum for the online CTY community will be at Post-CTY Depression. It's more active, and has its own domain name. So, if anybody needs a forum, go there. Hopefully, it'll be more solidly established after next session.
Userpages
Make userpages instead of articles about users.
Placeholders
Placeholders are fine. Stubs are not. If you want to link to a page that hasn't been created yet, that's fine, but don't create the page and just write, "This page does not exist" on it. Try not to link to pages if you have no intention of making them. Linking to unmade Page Series pages is fine.
End-of-Summer Announcement
Hey all!
School has started for pretty much all of the RealCTY community. Therefore, since everyone has less time on their hands, I would like to request that nobody make any large-scale changes to the site. Please continue editing, but try to keep new categories and the such to a minimum. Also, when making new pages, make sure first that it would not be better off in the Hall of Fame/Shame or Lexicon. If it doesn't seem to fit into a specific category (i.e., a non-site category), it probably belongs somewhere else. Stubs should be put in the Lexicon under the correct site and in alphabetical order, instead of being made into new pages.
Have a great year, everyone!
Header of the Day
If you haven't noticed, I take great pleasure in changing the header of this page. So, instead of changing at midnight each day, I'm got a "Quote of the Day" feature added. If you have any headers you would like to have possibly appear, put it on the Talk page. Make sure it starts with "From RealCTY," unless the point is that it doesn't.
Security
Editing, creating pages, etc. has been limited to logged-in users. This makes it easier to warn and track users who have vandalized pages, have made formatting errors, etc. Sorry for any inconveniences caused by this, but you ought to make accounts anyway. Yaaaay for accounts!
All other announcements have been moved into the Help:Editing page. Please read them.
Welcome
This is your CTY website. It's yours. A quick intro:
- Use the RealCTY:Community Portal to see what's new on the site.
- Find and advertise reunions, and plan with friends for next session.
- Play in the Sandbox.
- 72633455064916235913983 (This was the original content of Prune me, move me, change me, share me. It does not appear to hold meaning.)
Before you start editing, read this page.
Please don't destroy pages in any way; many people have worked hard on the success of this site. Deformattings, mass deletions, vandalism, and spamming may result in bannage.
If you like this site, please advertise it. Tell your friends, leave notes in your LiveJournal communities, inform your email buddies, put it in your AIM info, and so on! The more, the merrier.
