− | At LMU the CHEM teacher and TA for the past couple years (I think) were Mr. Dobrenen (Mr. D) and Sonya. Awesome people. If you're taking this class, be sure you have a calculator. The first day might be a bit bad because they give you the pretest, which of course you're supposed to know nothing about. That's why you're taking the course, right? You may feel dumb afterwards. The class takes a lot (when I say a lot I mean a spiral notebook, even if you have small handwriting) of notes, mostly off PowerPoint presentations. Labs are fun, and stuff catches fire and blows up. A lot. This course moves very very quickly, so if you feel overwhelmed try your best to relax. Awesome, fun class overall. | + | At LMU the CHEM teacher and TA for the past couple years (I think) were Mr. Dobrenen (Mr. D) and Sonya. Awesome people. A course that only VERY COOL Car05.2'ers took. The first line is a lie. The MUCH COOLER than Car05.2'ers Lou06.1'ers took. Bring pennies if you take this course, especially if Mrs. Provenza is your teacher. Also, this course helped me a lot, and i mean A LOT in AP Bio, when we study chem. Now I have a great knowledge of chemistry.
