The Nanjing, China site was the first CTY International site, opening in 2007. Currently, it serves students in grades 9-12. The site is based around the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, located in the city of Nanjing, near Shanghai on China's eastern seaboard. In its first year of operation, the site held over 140 students. CTY reserves seats students can choose from on flights from New York and San Francisco. During session, students go on trips into Nanjing and the surrounding area.
Courses
Unlike the Spain and Mexico sites, the Nanjing site does not offer courses both in English and the local language (Chinese). However, additional Chinese language instruction lessons are offered in addition to the course.
- China-US Relations
- Chinese Philosophy
- Images of China: Literature and the Arts
- Medicine: East and West
- Advanced Game Theory
- Contemporary Issues in Chinese Modernization
- Dynasties of China: Their Rise and Fall
