A few words from Mr. Sachs

Passionfruit '06

Paraphrased from his memory.

The Hokey Pokey is a part of the afterdance. And many CTYers and I never really understood why. However, last night, during the Hokey Pokey, I realized exactly why it's there. The Hokey Pokey is a parable of CTY. Look at the lyrics. "You put your whole self in" and then "you put your whole self out" after you repeat this a couple time you take yourself out a final time and then, "you shake it all about." At home, you remember how much you need CTY, and "you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around," and you realize:
CTY, "that's what it's all about."

I think Sean Zimmerman said it best in his Passionfruit speech today:
"And then I came here."
Because that's what CTY is. It's a highly significant turning point in one's life. You're never the same going out as you were going in and that's what's so great about it.

Now, to something a little sadder. I would like to have one last Tunak, with my good friend, Christian Burnette.
Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Da Da Da
Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Da Da Da
Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Da Da Da
Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Tunak Tunak Tun, Da Da Da
(Insert Christ and Jeff making out)

I love CTY, and I love the Passionfruit.
