Hi, my name is Anouk, and I'm a band meganerd. Band is my life. I also like reading, and I'm writing a story with a friend. I'm an introvert, but I have a tendency to talk a lot, even too much. One of my interests is learning to name cars (brand and model if possible) which serves as a distraction when I'm stressed and is just fun in general. I don't know much about motors or anything like that, so if you want an interesting discussion about that sort of stuff, go find someone else. However, if you want someone to interrogate you about your opinion about a bunch of different cars and whether you prefer American or Japanese cars, come to me. One of my goals is to attend Lancaster before I get too old to attend CTY.

Overall, my first year of CTY wasn't great. I only had two friends, and my RA, instructor, and TA weren't too friendly to me. I remember someone sat on my glasses and they got all twisted and bent. One of my hall's traditions was getting weird soda combinations from the soda machine and going around and naming them. Being a nine-year-old with limited access to technology, I was nuts about smartphones and as a result ended up being the cause of a bunch of restrictive, annoying rules meant for me that negatively impacted the entire hall. I really don't know why I came back to CTY the next year, but I think it was mostly because being away from my parents was fun for me and I could actually do something productive during the summer.
YS PAL 16.1
Course: The Renaissance: RENS
Instructors: Kurt and Zach (TA)
Hallmates: Makayla, Carrie, Grace, Jennifer, Anne, Lila, Chloe, Natalie, Sunny, and Stephanie, who never showed up.
RA: Dara
This summer was similar to the one before. I had no friends whatsoever in my hall and all my friends were in another hall across the building, making socializing difficult. I was rejected by my hall for the crimes of not being obsessed with social media, video games, and Sriracha sauce. The class, however, was really fun. My instructor had a great sense of humor and would make any lesson enjoyable. Unlike the previous class, we made inside jokes (Fabio the vicious badger). Being Baby CTY, there wasn't much of any Canon and an overabundance of pop songs.
