Clothing/ Gender Swap Day
Swap Day, formerly Drag Day or Gender Swap Day, is a day when traditionally boys and girls swap clothing, often with the goal of giving boys traditionally provocative clothing. The tradition began when a male camper got in trouble for wearing a dress on a hot day. In protest, the entire camp has swapped clothes the next day. Now called 'swap day' (to avoid gender stereotypes and expectations), clothing can also be swapped with someone who has a different style than your own.Warning to all campers: Stuffing, binding, and/or drawing on facial hair are strictly prohibited, and staff reserves the right to ask campers who have done any of those to change clothes. (For trans/genderqueer/GNC campers who do any of these on a regular basis, this should not be an issue.)
