Arches
In front of the Dining Hall, there are a series of brick arches which provide support and provide protection from the elements. Many activities, especially those involving crafts, are held here. According to Adam Roush, two CTYers who met on the right side of the Arches (when looking at them from outside) in the 1980's eventually married, which is why the weekend Marriage Booth is always placed on the right side of the Arches.
It is also rumored that after the dances, hot makeout sessions occur behind the arches. But you certainly didn't hear that from me.
ASFC
The ASFC (Alumni Sports & Fitness Center) is a gym on F&M's campus which CTY students may utilize. Activities such as Swimming are held here. If it rains on a Friday or Saturday, the dance will be moved from the residential Quad in front of the dining hall to here. As terrible as this is, it is felt by students that the ASFC is vastly superior to the Mayser Gym (due to increased ventilation) where rained-out dances have very occasionally been held. The ASFC is also generally the site of beginning-of-session registration, opening ceremonies, the talent show and closing ceremonies/parent conferences.
In 2004, the dining hall was being renovated, so CTYers had to eat all three meals in the ASFC. Further indignity was heaped on the students when, during the second week of the second session, a crafts fair was held in the ASFC, forcing the meals to be held in a circus tent on Weis Field. "The Big Top", as it was affectionately known by the administration, was almost universally reviled for its heat, lack of space, and implication that CTYers were like barnyard animals who were merely there to be led to the trough.
During session 07.1, the very first dance was "rained" out and held here. The next week the RA's ran a survey by their kids to see if half the remaining dances could be held in the ASFC. The vast majority, in my hall, at least, voted yes and so for the rest of that session the friday dances were held in the ASFC. It is yet to be seen if this shall continue.
Dining Hall
The new dining hall at F&M has four main rooms. The central two are where the food is served, as well as where many of the students sit. One room is usually closed off to CTY students. An exception was the Last Supper in 07, where site director Brian set this room up so the students could hold it there. The back room of the cafeteria was home to the Alcove, teh corner, two very nice corner booths, and some other tables. However, as of 07.2, it was closed to be turned into a kosher restaurant. Chances are low that it will re-open for CTY students, as they consume mostly non-kosher food.
Hartman Green
Hartman Green is a (usually) grassy area on the Franklin & Marshall campus. Oftentimes, due to the summer heat and lack of sufficient watering, the grass turns brown. Such an occurrance has been known to cause CTY staff and students to affectionately call the location "Hartman Brown" for the remainder of the summer. It is a popular location for classes to hold breaks and includes numerous walkways for students with bad aim to throw Frisbees over (though doing this will usually get said Frisbee confiscated). Hartman is also the site of the Passionfruit and the Electric Tree, a tree with a power socket installed near the base of the trunk.
At the LAN.05.2 closing ceremony, the History of Disease and Archaeology classes performed a skit titled "The Excavation and Disease Control of Hartman Green."
Keiper Hall
At least some math classes are held here, including the ever-popular nomore and nevermore course, Number Theory (taught by the famous instructors Birdie and Tortoise Session 1 and Pomm and Timmer Session 2).
Many writing courses are also generally taught in Keiper.
Marshall/Buchanan
In 05.2 there was one boy's hall in Buchanan basement, an icky, icky hall which was being cleaned with poisonous gases. Eli Petzold was one of the unfortunate "basement rats" in there.
Also in 05.2, Michael Nixon (who still regards it as the best CTY dorm experience of his life), Zeke Weiner and Will Steinberg, among others, resided on Marshall 3.
In 06.2, this hall was home to Rosie Brown, Beans, Iggy, Jeremy Cockerham, Gavin Cook, Zeke Weiner, Max Wang, and others. Nothing much happened here except for the entirety of the second floor of Marshall watching Jeremy hit himself in the crotch with glowsticks.
Mayser Gym
The other gym that CTYers use besides the ASFC. Those who sign up for basketball, volleyball, and some other sports for activities will go here. Occasionally, if a dance is rained out, it will be held here, but only if the ASFC is unavailable.
Due to a near-total lack of ventilation, Mayser is the worst possible dance location. Because of this, a new callback has been, by some, added to the end of Sweet Transvestite on the Second Saturday.
Schnader
Schnader is most well-known for its first-floor co-ed lounge which has conveniences such as couches, chairs, tables, and the like. This lounge is usually used for activities such as card games, etc. The other lounges are also used for various activities. Also the site of the Passing of the Duck. Incredibly humid building, especially in the basement.
Schnader is also famous for its mold. It is the cause of The Schnade.
South Ben
It's a great place to hang out, with co-ed lounges, and balconies. Apparently, during 06.1, someone climbed from the second story balcony to the first one, which angered the site director and caused him to close the balconies for Session 2. People also dropped things off the balconies, such as fobs, cookies, and kickballs (it was a hall bonding activity), which is now a violation of the rules. Despite this, balconies re-opened for 2007 and remained open, despite one student climbing out a window onto a locked balcony and other miscellaneous rule-breaking.
Atlee/Dubbs
Great couch on the 2nd lounge. Many fun stories and many fun couch orgies. The historic 20-person couch orgy was held there using the two couches (a two-person couch and a three-person couch).
It has also been foreseen into the future that Christ and Rachel will be naked on a couch here with a cow.
Also on the second floor lounge, "CTY '92, capturing the hearts of many by Kodak color film" is carved in a windowsill.
Also, on Atlee 2, Yulia said "Hey, Frank!" and made a bunch of people stop making out. This has been done in several lounges from time to time, and although funny, it can be irritating to some. Atlee/Dubbs 2 was closed for part of first session when the hanging lamp fell and shattered due to the chaos that had occurred in previous nights in the lounge, leaving glass shards on the carpet which were not adequately cleaned up by the end of the session
The third floor lounge was recently remade into what looks like a 50s diner, complete with shiny plastic booths and blatant coke advertisements on the walls, making it a popular hangout location.

Stager Hall
Stager (pronounced Stay-grr, with a hard g) is an academic building at F&M with three floors plus a basement. Many humanities classes meet here, and it is usually where the first rounds of Quiz Bowl meet. Furthermore, activities such as chess tournaments, card/board games and debate frequently meet here. Its facade is largely composed of glass, and many believe it looks a lot like a frog from far away!
Stager is conveniently located near Jazzman's and the Bookstore. Classes occaisionally use their breaks to buy stuff here. Thus, it is possible for a Stager class taking a break to see another class from another building using their break to buy smoothies.
Also, it can turn into a super robot (piloted by Nixon and Will of course) if the need arises. STAGERIZEEEE!
Steinman Center
Home to the mailroom, the man with a man with a man with a man for a face for a face for a face, the man with a man with a man for a face for a face, the man with a man for a face, and the man, in addition to "Hey Bighead!"
Thomas
The first floor of Thomas has the various offices and very nice furniture which was installed in 06.2.
The dorms in Thomas are suites with lounges. There are double and single rooms off of these lounges. The 06.2 Passionfruit Juice was kept chilled in an empty room on 2nd Thomas.
Second Thomas was also home to Fort Homoerotica...'nough said.
Weis Field
This is a large field behind Weis Hall where most of the sports activities and sports tournaments take place. Various classes have been known to conduct experiments there which were not as safe to conduct within the confines of a classroom.
Jazzman's
Jazzman's is a coffee shop located near the Stager classes, it is a coffee shop that teachers will sometimes take their students to.
