I AM EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, this is the first time I have visited my userpage, and the first thing that I saw was the exclamation above. I would like to thank Emma for giving me such a warm welcome. And because she's my beloved roommate, and I CTY her, I'll leave that comment up.
Anyways...

About Me
My name is Lizzy, as is indicated by my username. I am 15 (a onemore) and going into 10th grade. I live in Colorado, but go to CTY anyway. If you lived in Colorado, wouldn't you do the same?
I have attended:
- LOS 07.1 LOGC (Dana's Hall, Desmond 142)
- LOS 08.1 MIND (Nathalie's Hall, Huesman 135)
Because I love CTY at LMU so much, I am working to make $1500, so my parents will allow my to double-session in my nevermore year. My first session will be at LOS, my second at LAN. I'm considering Ethics, Etymologies, or Greek.
I want to become a lawyer, but Emma thinks I should be a psychologist. This is because I gave her therapy, and now she is more sane than she was before. I have tried to tell her that I haven't really made much progress, (as the comment at the top of this page illustrates) but she is convinced that I am a miracle worker. I consider this delusion a symptom of insanity. She also has a habit of masquerading as other people. This is why the comment clearly made by her appears as made by me. I am a therapist type because people tend to tell me things they'd never tell anyone else. If you meet me, and you end up telling me something, know that trust will never be misplaced. I'm good at keeping secrets.
- Note: Lizzy shouldn't give out her passwords so easily if she doesn't want others hacking into her account....
My midwestern location is both a blessing and a curse. I cannot come to any reunions for kids who went to LMU, but I get to see snow every year. There is another psuedo-CTY-like program here at Denver University called "Rocky Mountain Talent Search." It has now taken to calling itself CITY, Center for Innovative and Talented Youth. This is a cheap attempt to copy CTY. CTY is much better, and therefore, much more successful, than RMTS. I attended a psychology class at RMTS in summer of '06, and found it rather boring, and not nearly as fun as CTY.
Poi Twirling/Glowstringing
Poi Twirling is the Ancient Polynesian art of whirling balls of fire around in the air. I do it with two plastic LED balls attached to the ends of strings. For more information on glowstringing, click here.
I can do:
- Chase (Single and Double time)
- Butterfly
- Alternating Butterfly
- Corkscrew
- Figure 8
- Crossovers
- Turns
- Angel Wings (I made this move up. I think I may have seen it performed, so it probably has another name)
- In this move, the right poi goes full circle behind the back, while the left poi circles in front. Then they switch.
- Sleeping Butterfly (Once again, I made this up, so I have no clue whether it has another name.)
- In this move, I begin with a basic butterfly, drop to my knees, bend over backwards until my back touches the ground, with both poi above my body. Then I slide out my feet, stand up with the butterfly over my head, and lead out into a chase.
Cubing
I have been cubing since CTY 07.1. I currently use the Fridrich F2L intuitive and Leyan Lo's easy LL with a few advanced LL algs.

Forevermore
I'm an active poster on PCTYD. I am the Literature Editor and Managing Editor of Forevermore- the PCTYD magazine. If you have a submission for it, please visit The Forevermore Home Page. The first two issues are available for download.
Forevermore would appreciate people who wrote anything at CTY to submit it for use in future issues.
LMU Traditions Committee
I began the official movement for more tradition in session 1 of CTY in 2008. Though there were students who were more traditional than I was, I was the one to name the group, and start discussing what we were going to do. That being said...
LMUers! Are you frusterated with the logy of traditions? Do you want to hear more of Nightswimming, and less of Lip Gloss? Then, please leave a comment in the discussion section of my Userpage! We need a group of people to spread tradition to every hall, to every dorm from Desmond to Doheny. We must not forget our Squirrels, we must not let them miss out on the things that make CTY different from other nerd camps. Let us bring about a brighter era of tradition!
- 08.1 Update: Well done! We defended the area of traditions at all three dances, with minimal mistakes. We also introduced some traditions from other sites, including Silent Football, Wanna Buy a Duck, and Blammo. We created new trends, such as "HI DANE" and Bananaphone. What would be a good idea for next year?
