Mathematical Modeling

Mathematical modeling is a course offered almost (but not quite) exclusively at Saratoga. Its curriculum is somewhat mysterious; the name of the course and the description in the catalogue don't give too much away. Basically, it is a hodge-podge of applied mathematics, covering everything from voting theory and fair division (it overlaps with Game Theory here) to fractals, the Fibonacci sequence, the golden ratio, and statistics.

Be forewarned: since it is a math course with few prerequists, it tends to be full of first-year boys.
