Hello! This is Sydney Schirripa. Here's a list of the CTY courses I've taken along with the year and session:
Intro to Philosophy - LAN.23.1
Exploring Ethics - CAR.24.1
Paradoxes and Infinities - CAR.24.2
Logic: Principles of Reasoning - CAR.25.1
I will be one of four jesters for session one at Carlisle the summer of 2025, as well as the first ever Holder of the Duck 1.0.
I'm also a Grand Priest of the Cult of the Rain God. PRAISE THE RAIN!
I love CTY more than almost everything else, and am happy to contribute as much as I can to this website.
I like you, I love you, I HUB you, I CTY you.

My Passionfruit speech from CAR.25.1:
I never speak at passionfruit, so I never let CTY really end. Three sessions of the past have not ended for me, ever, because I refused to let them go. I know this year really is the end of the tour, and I have four sessions to mentally close. But first I need to recognize what makes CTY my favorite place I have ever been. The community here changed me forever is the best way I could ever ask for. And there's so many things I wish I could say, things I wish I could shout out, but I definitely don't have the time. Dear Vivian, my first friend at cty, who learned so much with me two years ago so that we could be a part of the cty culture that sets this place apart from everywhere else. From sydnivian to rapping ethics to jesters, we've been side by side. I love you so much, thank you for everything. We're forevermores together today. Dear Cameron, fellow jester, and best of friends, I love you so much. All of our time together I will forever cherish. I can't wait to see you soon. Dear Emery, best of friends, fellow jester, you are such an incredible person, so unique and so supportive. I love your hugs and I love you so much. Dear spriet, sponk, spret, speet when spoket to, best of friends, I cannot thank you enough for how wonderful of a friend you have been. Praise the rain forever, no one matches your energy, umbrella kid, and no one matches your dedication. Dear Walter Wade Strouse, who lives at 257 Norsam drive, the one and only, baby bird, shoplifter, and best of friends, I wish you the best, thank you for everything. Happy birthday! Dear kiki, thank you so much for everything, your support is appreciated, fun and caring friend. Dear hazel, and zuri, and Zara, and noa, and Sam, and zedward, and strawberry, and everyone in the rain cult, and all of my tas, and ras, and instructors, and all of my classmates. It wouldn't be cty without the classes, I have to admit. My favorite class I have ever taken was pdox last year with Blair. Intro to philosophy changed my life two years ago, and logic this year reopened my eyes. Ethics last year was another case... But truly, cty classes are the experience. These are the best classes I've ever taken. Honestly, one of the main reasons I'm not coming back next year is because there aren't any classes left for me that would let me have the time I have been having. Session 1 2023 at F&M in Lancaster started something that will never die, despite the closure of Lancaster as a cty location. I'll always miss the songwriting club, weis, Hartman green, the quad, and the Lancaster traditions that made the cty spirit. Vivian, Cameron, Emery, spriet, ned, liam, Aaron, and Marceline, my first friend group at cty, I'll never forget that session we praised the rain together, that time we spent in the holy land, smiling or crying. Session 1 2024 here in Carlisle gave me so many memories that I would never trade for anything. People like Alex and Walter and Nathan and kiki as well as returning friends made the new location feel like home. Session two the same year gave me a new perspective on cty. Shout-out to everyone who double-sessions. Really, it's a different experience, but it was so beyond worth it. Really, I need to recognize a few people from this session that changed the way I see this camp. My instructor Blair, who taught the most amazing class, who offered me a job as his ta a few years down the line, and is such an incredible teacher and person. And Annie, the reason I have this duck, the reason session one has a duck. I really do believe we were all a little bit more sane that summer. Session 1 this year was the most challenging by far. I don't know what I would have done if I were with anyone else. The people here are the reason I made it though and can look back on this time fondly. Also this year, my brother became a ctyer, and I'm so glad. So glad he can have the same fun that I had my first year, the fun that doesn't come easily. But the struggles of CTY are what shaped me. Evan, I don't trust any other place to contribute to the amazing person you are, and the one that you will be. Once again, Evan, are you landscape? Yesterday I was happy. I'm happy now as well, but I'm not always happy. Yet, my favorite time is the time I spent here, happy or not. Four sessions gave me the time of my life. Bye, bye, beloved cty. Praise the rain. I lost the game. Thank you cty I like you, I love you, I CTY you, I hub you, I love CTY, and I love the passionfruit!
