Intermediate Ancient Greek, formerly Greek II, is a Humanities course in the CTY program. The course is offered only during Session 1 at Lancaster and has Greek I as a prerequisite. Its course code is GRK2. This course was renamed for the summer of 2008, for unknown reasons.
Course Description
Greek II is a continuation of Greek I and is targeted at students who wish to pursue futher study in the classics. Course materials include the Iliad and Plato's Symposium (in translation). Material covered in Greek II includes the passive and middle voices of verbs; by the end of the course, one can expect to know all three declensions of Greek nouns as well as the active, passive, and middle voices of verbs, along with some grammatical constructions et al.
