Course Description
From the CTY Course Catalog (2007): In the 21st century, perhaps no bilateral relationship is more important than that between the People’s Republic of China and the United States. Participants in this course study this dynamic, often delicate relationship with an eye to its many facets—from human rights issues to international trade. The reform of China's social, economic, and political systems is viewed as both an issue affecting the internal stability of China, and also as a factor that shapes China's actions on the international stage.
